Robert Waymire

Robert started with the Skamania County Economic Development Council in August of 2010 and took over as Executive Director in November, 2010.

As director of the SCEDC Robert’s duties include the administration of two loan programs, business counseling and business planning assistance to new and existing businesses. He coordinates community strategic planning and preparation of applications and contracts for government grants-of-aid for economic development activities and programs. Other duties include participation in community, state and regional organizations relevant to the EDC mission and representation of EDC interests in public and private meetings.

Robert also works with city, county, state and federal elected officials, agencies, and staff to ensure proper information exchange regarding issues that affect economic development. He monitors federal, state and local legislative measures related to economic and business development, promotes public policies that will encourage economic development and represents the interest of local business and the Economic Development Council in proposed legislation impacting business, economic development and job formation.

Kari Fagerness

Kari Fagerness joined the EDC as Office Manager in December of 2010. Kari manages the financial and administrative functions of the EDC and assists the Executive Director to ensure that the needs of EDC clients and members are maintained in a quality manner. Kari holds a bachelor’s degree in Planning and Environmental Policy. She worked as a planner for Skamania County from 1997-2000 and was also a planner in the private sector for a short while. She received her Paralegal Certificate in 2002 and has been working in the legal field for the last 8 years. Kari has lived in Stevenson since 1997.
