Peggy Bryan - Executive Director

Peggy has been with the Skamania County Economic Development Council since 1987 and has served as Executive Director since September, 1996. She is certified as an Economic Development Financial Professional from the National Development Association.

As director of the SCEDC Peggy’s duties include the administration of two micro-loan programs, business counseling and business planning assistance to new and existing businesses. She coordinates community strategic planning and preparation of applications and contracts for government grants-of-aid for economic development activities and programs. Other duties include participation in community, state and regional organizations relevant to the EDC mission and representation of EDC interests in public and private meetings.

Peggy also works with city, county, state and federal elected officials, agencies, and staff to ensure proper information exchange regarding issues that affect economic development. She monitors federal, state and local legislative measures related to economic and business development, promotes public policies that will encourage economic development and represents the interest of local business and the Economic Development Council in proposed legislation impacting business, economic development and job formation.

Leanne Haight - Administrative Manager

Leanne started with the EDC in May 2006.

Leanne's background is diverse, from international business and volunteer work to massage and bodywork therapy to retail management. She returned to Skamania County in July 2005 to own and operate a small horse boarding stable in Carson. Her family is orginally from the west end of Skamania County.

Erin Swayze - Administrative Assistant

Erin joined the EDC team in January 2007. She has been a full time mother for the last 8 years. Prior to that, she worked for the Bureau of Land Management, Fire Service division, in mobile kitchens catering for firefighters in Alaska.
